North American giant NRG Esports dropped out of PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: American RMR, finishing last in the group. The team, which came to the tournament with high expectations, did not live up to them, losing two of its matches to strong opponents.
NRG's problems began in the first match against Imperial, where they were convincingly defeated with a score of 13-2 on Overpass. Despite desperate efforts on Inferno in the second match against MIBR, NRG ended up losing 13-2. Their last match showed desperate attempts to show real team play, but they were unsuccessful and MIBR took the round with a score of 16-13 on Anubis.
This result is a major setback for NRG, who were hoping to use the RMR tournament as a springboard for their campaign to qualify for the Major. The team will now need to regroup and analyze their weaknesses before returning to competition.

In total, 16 teams are participating in the tournament, but only 2 of them will qualify for the major.
