The open qualification for the South American region at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 has now come to an end. And that means it's time to summarize the results.
In total, four teams passed from the open qualification to the closed one. And tomorrow, the second open qualification for this region will begin, where we will find out the last four teams for the closed qualifications.
The qualification tournament, held through the Challengermode platform, turned out to be not the best choice for an event intended for more than 4500 participants. The planned start of the competition at 17:00 was significantly delayed, and the first games only started at 18:30, which in itself caused dissatisfaction.
During the tournament, there were technical problems: the platform's website repeatedly showed error 404, causing matches to be paused. Moreover, the servers where the games were played sometimes disconnected at the most inopportune moment. The administration took no less than 30 minutes to resolve these issues. Players got the impression that only 4-5 administrators were monitoring the progress of the qualification, who couldn't timely respond to all arising problems.

The next open qualification is scheduled for January 10, 2024. And the closed part will start on January 18.
