Officially: Valve has ceased support for CS:GO

As of January 1, 2024, official support for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has been discontinued. From this day, Valve will no longer release updates or fix bugs for the outdated version of the shooter.

Players can still launch CS:GO. To enter the game, you should use the menu in the Steam library. To do this, right-click on the CS2 icon, select "Properties", then go to the "Beta versions" section. After that, you need to select the csgo_legacy option from the list and launch the shooter.

CS:GO was released in 2012. Ten years later, Valve introduced Counter-Strike 2 — an updated version of the shooter on the Source 2 engine. The CS2 release occurred at the end of September 2023 after several months of beta testing.
