PGL has officially announced the schedule for the first matches of the South American closed qualifier to PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: American RMR. The competition will start this Friday and last until Sunday. Matches will be held online and are seeded based on regional ranking.
The tournament will be conducted in a Swiss format: initial and middle matches will be in bo1 format, while the qualifying and knockout matches will be in bo3 format. The second round of matches will also take place on the first day of the competition, with subsequent opponents determined according to their record and seeding for the first two rounds, and then by their record and the Buchholz system.
The final matches are scheduled for Saturday, when the first two qualifiers will be determined, and Sunday. In total, seven teams from PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: South American Qualifier will qualify for the RMR, set to take place from March 1 to 4 in Monterrey, Mexico.
