rain: "Counter-Strike 2 fits my style"

FaZe player Håvard "rain" Nygaard shared his feelings about Counter-Strike 2 in an interview with HLTV after defeating Complexity in the final of the Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023.

The Norwegian said that his individual game was not very good after the successful PGL Major Antwerp 2022 for his team, where he was recognized as the best player of the tournament. However, as Rain noted, Counter-Strike 2 is very suitable for his style. Opponents often do not have time to react to his unexpected peaks, which brings a positive result.

It's been a rough patch since PGL Major Antwerp 2022 for me individually, and I think this game, especially now, it favors the way that I play. The peeks you can do, people don't really have time to react at the moment, and I think I kind of abused it a little this tournament. But, it's the game we play, and you gotta play with what you have.

For winning IEM Sydney 2023, FaZe received $100,000 and a slot at IEM Katowice 2024. In addition, the team entered the race for the fifth Intel Grand Slam, where VitalityENCEG2, and MOUZ also have for each team the one point.
