REZ - became the best player of CS2 Asia Championships 2023 according to rating- who took the top 5 players of the tournament?

The CS2 Asia Championships 2023, a tier-1 LAN championship in Counter-Strike 2, has concluded. This four-day tournament in China provided unforgettable emotions and a plethora of incredible moments. Now, it's time to look at the top 5 players of the championship.

#1 - REZ

It's somewhat unusual to see a player from Ninjas in Pyjamas at the top, especially considering the current events surrounding the team. However, setting aside these issues, we acknowledge the rifler from Ninjas in Pyjamas - Fredrik REZ Sterner, who finished the tournament with an average rating of 7.1 over 6 played maps.

REZ indeed emerged as the best entry fragger at the championship, boasting an impressive rating of 0.197. Despite the various challenges faced by his team, NiP, REZ shone as one of the top players with the AK-47. His performance was notable even though Ninjas in Pyjamas were eliminated in the quarterfinals. REZ managed to achieve a significant number of multikills:

  • 2 quad kills
  • 4 triple kills
  • 24 double kills

Furthermore, REZ demonstrated exceptional accuracy, with an average headshot probability of 55.1%.

#2 - blameF

Benjamin blameF Bremer, the captain of Team Astralis, secured an honorable second place in our player rankings at the CS2 Asia Championships 2023. His average rating across 7 played maps was an impressive 7.0! It's worth recalling that Astralis was eliminated in the semi-finals, losing 1:2 to Team MOUZ.

blameF also made it into the top 15 players with the AK-47, with a rating of 0.295 using this rifle! The number of multikills achieved by Benjamin is noteworthy:

  • 1 quad kill
  • 5 triple kills
  • 25 double kills

However, the clutch situation was a bit different:

  • Two in one-vs-two situations
  • Seven in one-vs-one situations

It's notable that blameF is the only captain to make it into our top rankings. Remarkably, this tournament marked the first successful outing for the team in Counter-Strike 2.

#3 - dev1ce

Continuing our top player list is the sniper from Team Astralis - Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz, who achieved a rating of 6.9 across 7 played maps! dev1ce ranked second after REZ in terms of entry fragging at the championship, with a rating of 0.155 in this aspect.

Notably, Nicolai secured the third position among the best snipers of the tournament, with his average damage per round with the AWP being 31.91. His flashbangs at this tournament were simply outstanding, earning him the title of the best support player of the tournament with a rating of 0.05!

dev1ce managed to win 4 clutches for his team and achieved a remarkable number of multikills:

  • 1 quad kill

Guy "NertZ" Iluz, the rifler for Team ENCE, secured the fourth spot in our ranking of the best players at the CS2 Asia Championships 2023. NertZ finished the tournament with an average rating of 6.9 across 10 maps. He ranked among the top six riflers of the tournament in terms of accuracy and headshot hits.

Guy demonstrated exceptional skill in eliminating opponents with headshots, achieving an average probability of 57.1%.

However, the Israeli player didn't particularly impress with clutches, as he managed to win only three one-vs-one clutches throughout the tournament. But when it comes to multikills, NertZ indeed excelled:

  • 11 triple kills
  • 30 double kills

Although ENCE ended their journey at the quarterfinal stage of the championship, NertZ consistently demonstrated commendable performance in each match, rightfully earning his spot in our top rankings!
