Sangal Esports Revamps Roster: jottAAA In, sausol and Ganginho Out
Sangal Esports has unveiled a significant roster update, welcoming Samet "jottAAA" Köklü to their lineup amidst a broader team reshuffle. This restructuring also sees the departure of Pere "sausol" Solsona Saumell and Ilya "Ganginho" Chernychenko from the squad.
This strategic move is Sangal's response to their recent struggles after a sluggish start in 2024. The team's challenges were highlighted by their inability to advance in the open RMR qualifiers and their lackluster performance in online competitions, with their most notable achievement being a 5-6th place finish at European Pro League Season 13 this year.
JottAAA, previously part of Eternal Fire Academy is mostly known for his great individual performance. Samet is often compared to Ali "Wicadia" Haydar Yalçın, his former teammate and the current Major playoffs participant with Eternal Fire.
With jottAAA's integration into the team, Sangal is now on the lookout to fill one remaining slot in their lineup ahead of their forthcoming matches in the ESL Challenger League. Currently, Sangal holds a promising 2-1 record in the league, following victories over TSM and 9INE.
