SAW, following Spirit, reached the Thunderpick World Championship 2023 through the second European qualification. The Portuguese team defeated Looking4Org, OG and Into The Breach during the qualifying process. SAW have already guaranteed themselves a slot at the main event, but have yet to play their final match at Thunderpick World Championship Europe season 2 2023. The team has advanced to the finals where they will face Spirit in the $20,000 designated first place match.
Thunderpick World Championship 2023 will be the second S-tier tournament in the history of the Portuguese organization. The first was ESL Pro League Season 17, where SAW finished 21st through 28th place. Since then, the team has undergone changes with the departure of Thiago "JUST" Moura, who was replaced by Rafael "arrozdoce" Wing.
Recall that Thunderpick World Championship 2023 is an online tournament with a prize pool of $500,000, which will be held from October 27 to November 5. 16 teams will take part in the event.
