Sense, who had previously only played with Norwegian players, faced the challenge of switching to English in the multinational lineup of Apeks. He noted that this change required some adaptation, especially in interacting with his new teammates.
Even though the Apeks team was already communicating in English, for sense, it was a new experience, especially in the context of challenges in training and during games. In an interview with HLTV, the Norwegian admitted that adapting to the English language was more challenging than the gameplay itself.
I think the environment, because there are different nations in the main team. When I was in the academy team we were only Norwegian, so there are different kind of… how people are, you know? I have had to adapt to that and get to know people in other ways. I think it’s been good so far.We just switched in the academy team to English two weeks before I was called up for a trial, so I had a little bit of preparation. Currently, sense is on trial in the team, but has already helped Apeks reach the playoffs of the Roobet Cup 2023, win the qualification for ESL Challenger Atlanta 2023, and reach their first final of a major LAN tournament at Elisa Masters Espoo 2023, where the team will play against FURIA.
This transition and adaptation of the young player signify his growth and potential in esports. Expectations are high for sense as he continues to prove his skill and contribute to the success of the Apeks team.
