YNG Sharks win DH Open 46 South America, to ESL Season 15 Conference
A great performance by the Brazilian team.
Final match of the entire event.
ESL Pro League Season 15 Conference was going to have a spot reserved for the winner of the DreamHack Open 46 South America, as 9z Team and YNG Sharks went against each other to get that coveted slot in the finals.
Back and forth on Ancient, it was the Brazilian team coming out on top in the end, as YNG Sharks managed to equalize the score with a “16-14”, but 9z restored their lead after a yet another victory on Nuke, this time, “16-13”. Back to Inferno, the Argentinian team looked to close the series out, as they led “12-9”, but a solid streak by Sharks Esports forced the fifth and deciding map, “16-14”. Mirage was all about YNG Sharks in the beginning, as they stormed out of the gate for a “11-4” defensive half, but it turned into a struggle on the offence, as 9z Team reduced the deficit to only one at “11-12”. That was when Sharks Esports were done with the match, as they put four round wins in a row, taking the map “16-11” and the entire series, “3-2”.
Winning the event gives YNG Sharks their first opportunity to debut in the ESL Pro League circuit but before that they will try and clinch a spot at the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 with a solid performance at the IEM Fall South America.
