Professional CS2 player Owen smooya Butterfield has criticized the organization of regional qualifying tournaments for BLAST events. The British esports athlete shared his opinion on his personal page on X (Twitter).

According to Butterfield, Fnatic, Guild Eagles, and B8 Esports are unjustifiably competing in the qualifiers for the United Kingdom. He also called the situation nonsense and bullshit.

BLAST allowing teams like FNATIC, Guild Eagles and B8 to qualify through their UK qualifier because their orgs are apparently built within the UK. My opinon you should have atleast 3 UK players minimum to compete within the UK regional qualifier, absolute bullshit 😂🤣I have this opinion on all regional qualifiers not just the UK one. It's utter horseshit.
