Sniper torzsi and support Jame - who else made it to the Dream Team at IEM Chengdu 2024 from Bo3.gg?

This Sunday marked the conclusion of IEM Chengdu 2024, held in the small Chinese city of Chengdu. The champions were FaZe Clan, who defeated MOUZ with a score of 2:0 (Overpass 13:10, Nuke 13:6) across maps. IEM Chengdu 2024 brought many exciting moments for fans of the game. This time, our dream team included some unexpected players, whom we will talk about today.

Sniper - torzsi

MOUZ team captain Adam "torzsi" Törzsas holds the sniper position in our dream team, as he was the best AWP player at IEM Chengdu 2024. His average rating with this rifle was 0.393!

However, his average player rating over 11 played maps was 6.2, which is the 22nd best result of the tournament. Torzsi had a rather modest number of clutches, as he managed to win only one in a one-versus-one situation throughout the tournament. But his multi-kill stats are a bit more interesting:

  • 1 quadro kill
  • 12 triple kills per round
  • 29 double kills per round

Clutcher - br0

Astralis team rifler Alexander "br0" Bro holds the clutcher position in our dream team. But why exactly him? Let's start from the beginning. Br0's average rating over 8 played maps was 6.0, which is neither good nor bad for a rifler.

His headshot kill percentage against his opponents was 63.1%, and his rating with the assault rifle AK-47 was 0.265. But the reason he became the clutcher of our team is simple, as he was the only player who won a clutch in a one-versus-four situation.

This moment occurred in the semifinals of the tournament in a match against FaZe Clan.

Additionally, br0 marked himself with a certain number of multi-kills:

  • 1 quadro kill per round
  • 1 triple kill per round
  • 14 double kills per round

MVP - broky

FaZe Clan sniper Helvijs "broky" Saukants earned his third career MVP medal after winning at IEM Chengdu 2024.

We start from the beginning, namely with his average rating across all played maps in the tournament. Broky's average rating for 15 played maps was 6.7, making it the fifth-best result in the championship.

But he ranked 12th among all players with an AWP in the championship, with a rating of 0.254 with this sniper rifle:

His statistics for multi-kills are as follows:

  • 2 triple kills per round
  • 14 double kills per round

Entry-frag - SLIGHT

For the first time, a player from a North American team makes our dream team. Today, our hero is Keller "SLIGHT" Neilan from Wildcard Gaming. In our dream team, he holds the position of entry-frag.

Even though his team finished last in the championship, he managed to become the best entry-fragger of the entire championship. His rating in this category reached 0.065!

However, his average rating for three played maps at the championship was 4.7. Moreover, SLIGHT took first place in the Flash Assist rating with a value of 0.1. In other respects, his team let him down, as their ambitions were huge, but the execution has not yet materialized.

Support — Jame

Virtus.pro team captain holds the support position in our dream team. Although Virtus.pro had a mediocre tournament for themselves, Jame managed to show what Jesus can do in Counter-Strike.

His average rating for 8 played maps was 6.1, and his AWP rating was 0.321, ranking him 11th. Here is his multi-kill statistic:

  • 4 triple kills per round
  • 17 double kills per round

But as always, he was not very successful in clutches, as this player loves to save his weapon for the next round. He managed to win only two clutches in a one-versus-one situation.
