Team Vitality vs FaZe Clan Match Prediction and Analysis - PGL Major Copenhagen 2024

On March 30 at 18:00 EET, a match between Team Vitality and FaZe Clan will take place at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 in CS2. Bo3.gg, in collaboration with Konstantin "Leniniw" Sivko, presents a preview, forecast, and analysis of the Major's semifinal.

Vitality and FaZe Clan will play against each other for the first time in 2024. The last time the teams met was back in December at the BLAST Premier: World Final 2023 — where Dan "apEX" Madesclaire's team emerged victorious. Considering the difficulties FaZe Clan has faced in recent tournaments, the result of the last match between these teams may repeat itself.

Current Form

In their last five matches, both teams have mostly been victorious, although each has stumbled once. Ironically, both teams lost to the same club — Eternal Fire. Both Vitality and FaZe Clan failed to overcome the Turkish team in a best-of-1 showdown in the Elimination Stage at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024.

Map Pool

As for Vitality, it's quite simple. apEX and company prefer to ban the Ancient map. At the same time, in their map pool, there are three maps with a good win percentage — Anubis, Inferno, and Overpass. It can be concluded that they will choose from among them. Moving on to FaZe Clan, after the match against Team Spirit, anything can be expected from Finn "karrigan" Andersen's team. FaZe Clan players stated in a post-match interview, "we are ready to take risks." After these words, we recommend not paying attention to the previous statistics of FaZe Clan's maps and simply waiting for the match.

Prediction from Leniniw

Konstantin "Leniniw" Sivko, a Maincast studio caster who has been working in Counter-Strike since 2013. During this period, he has commented on numerous Majors and S-tier championships. This year, he has already made forecasts exclusively for Bo3.gg — all of which turned out to be correct.

It's very hard to predict such matches, because such grandsons are always full of accidents, clutches, outnumbered rounds and unexpected decisions even at the peak-ban stage.

FaZe had a pretty rough start, losing to Heroic and EF, barely coming back in a 1-2 set. They have a pretty weak card pool, but strong performers and an unwavering belief in their abilities. The match against Spirit showed this in probably the most colourful way possible.

Vitality, on the other hand, showed that they can win even without ZywOo, for example in the match against CoL. The only people Vitality lost to were the same stalwart Turks. In the match against C9, Mathieu himself joined his rifflers, and now their team looks complete.

As for the match itself, Vitality can be considered the favourite because of the same gaps in the card pool from FaZe. They probably won't be satisfied with playing Vertigo like they did with Spirit, as Vitality won it 13-3 in the last final. Likewise, FaZe look to be behind on Anubis and even Overpass. Because of all this, Vitality is my favourite. But we should not forget about the magic of the home stage for Karrigan, because a lot can happen on it.
