Valve will stop supporting CS:GO in 7 days

Today, when entering Counter-Strike: Global Offensive through the official Steam client, players are greeted with a notification that Valve will stop supporting the game starting January 1, 2024.

However, on the game's official website, the developers stated that this does not mean that players will be unable to access and play the game. Players might just face some difficulties.

When entering CS:GO now, the following window is displayed:

Legacy version of CS:GO
This is the legacy version of CS:GO. Support for it will end on January 1, 2024.If you launched Counter-Strike 2 and ended up here, your hardware configuration may be incompatible with Counter-Strike 2. For more information, visit Steam Support.

The developers clarified on the website that the issue only concerns the stable operation of the "game coordinator," meaning that there might be difficulties accessing inventory, servers, etc., but the game itself will still function and be playable.

An era that has given us so many positive emotions is leaving... Can the new version provide the same?
