What do we know about the new BLEED CS2 lineup?

On the professional Counter-Strike scene, new clubs are increasingly emerging or old ones are being revived. This time, Bo3.gg will tell you about the organization BLEED Esports, its formation of a team, and its prospects in the discipline.

Who are BLEED Esports?

BLEED is a Singapore-based esports organization. The club was founded in late September 2021. Along with this, a roster for Valorant was signed, which has already earned more than $120,000 in prize money. As of the time of publication, the organization is represented by teams in Dota 2, Naraka: Bladepoint, Mobile Legends, Rainbow Six, and now CS2. The organization is actively developing and is betting not only on the Asian market but also on other regions.

The formation of their first CS2 roster began with the signing of a coach who will be primarily responsible for the results. The choice fell on Aleksandar kassadTrifunović. He was given carte blanche in choosing players for the roster.

For the last two years, Trifunović has been away from coaching duties in CS - he was focused on working as an analyst during various major tournaments. For him, this is a kind of comeback to the professional scene. Previously, kassad worked in organizations such as MOUZ, Renegades, 100 Thieves, Cloud9, and others. His highest achievement as a coach was a 3-4th place finish at StarLadder Berlin Major 2019 with Renegades.

After long consideration, I decided to once again take the position of Head Coach and jump back into the competitive environment. Finding the right personnel and putting the team together are my first priorities. There isn't much time to gather up the squad before the next season starts, so there is a lot of work to be done in a very short period of time.

hampus

The first signing for BLEED in the CS2 roster was Hampus hampus Poser. The Swedish esports player can be called a downed pilot, whose final stretch in Ninjas in Pyjamas did not go well. He was in and out of the inactive roster, was IGL, then just a rifler... such inconsistency did not lead to anything good.

Poser's career is in decline, and the move to BLEED is almost his only chance to return to the tier-1 scene. hampus is expected to maximize his leadership qualities and become the real leader of the squad.

faveN

The second to join the team was Josef faveN Baumann. The German esports player first made a name for himself in Sprout and then moved to BIG. In the leading German organization, faveN repeatedly took prize places in tournaments. He spent the last six months on the bench of BIG. Throughout his career, he earned about $200,000 in prize money.

CeRq

The team's sniper became Tsvetelin CeRq Dimitrov. The Bulgarian esports player has colossal experience on the tier-1 scene. First, he made a name for himself in Europe, then transferred to NRG and began to conquer the North American region. After several trophies and a place in the top 20 players of 2019 according to HLTV, his career went downhill.

After NRG left the discipline, Dimitrov moved to Evil Geniuses, where he became a victim of poor management. The team's results got worse and worse, largely due to the strange actions of the club's management. CeRq took the opportunity to rest from the competitive scene and is now ready to return and conquer CS2.

lauNX

The fourth player for BLEED was 18-year-old Laurentiu lauNX Cirla. The club rented the player from Team Falcons for the entire year of 2024 with an option to buy. lauNX's biggest career achievement was a 12-14th place at IEM Rio Major 2022 with Sprout. His period in Falcons can be called a failure for him.

Fifth Player

kassad still needs to find a fifth player, and the lineup will be complete. As the mentor himself reported on X (Twitter), the organization offered a contract to Justin jks Savage, but he "politely" refused. Besides him, Trifunović considered Max maxster Jansson, but there were problems there too. The Swede is already registered as a substitute player at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 for NiP. The major's organizers could not confirm whether maxster could play in the qualifiers for BLEED or not. Therefore, it was decided to refuse the transfer.

The backup option for kassad was Kai CYPHER Watson from TSM. He completed the BLEED roster for CS2. The peak of the British esports player's career was the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 when he reached the quarterfinals of the tournament with Into The Breach. The transition to TSM turned out to be a mistake, as the team did not show any results. Thus, CYPHER becomes another player for BLEED who has something to prove to himself and the community.

Prospects

kassad has done a tremendous amount of work in a very short period of time and seems to have done an excellent job. Do not expect instant results from BLEED, but the prospect of qualifying for the RMR is very high. The club has formed a strong tier-2 team whose members have colossal experience at the highest level. If everything goes smoothly, the team will be able to regularly perform at tier-1 competitions in the future.

BLEED's debut in official CS2 matches will take place on January 8 in the open qualifiers for the RMR ahead of the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024. They have less than a week to get in sync. Good luck to the guys!
