Youtuber opened 10 thousand cases and lost 35,000$

On January 30, 2024, the well-known English-speaking YouTuber Sparkles released a video on his YouTube channel in which he set a world record for the number of cases opened at once.

His 26-minute video has already been viewed by 240,000 people. And more than $50,000 was spent on the video itself. But let's delve deeper into what exactly happened.

Sparkles, who has over 2.3 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, decided to open 10,000 cases with his girlfriend and friends to test their luck. Thus, he set a world record for the number of cases opened at once. Previously, this title was held by Swedish YouTuber Anomaly, who opened 5,000 cases at once.

Results of the case opening by Sparkles:

  • 26 extremely rare items (knives/gloves). But for about 3,000 consecutive cases, he didn't get a single item of such rarity.
  • The most expensive drop for the entire opening was the Butterfly Knife | Gamma Doppler ($2,000)
  • In total, he spent about $50,000
  • He ended up with a loss of about $35,000, only getting items worth $15,000

The story ends there. Although Sparkles calculated his losses at the end of the video, he did not seem too upset, perhaps YouTube brings him much more. But that is only speculation.
