The first truly major tier-1 online championship in Counter-Strike 2 has come to its logical conclusion. The Thunderpick World Championship 2023, which lasted just under two weeks, gave us unforgettable emotions and tons of incredible moments! So, it's time to look at the top-5 best players of the championship.
#1 - zont1x
The young talent from Team Spirit, the eighteen-year-old rifler of the team, Miroslav "zont1x" Plakhotya, takes the honorable first place in our ranking. Although his team was eliminated in the quarterfinals, his average rating over 6 maps was 7.3!
zont1x became the best entry player of the championship with a rating of 0.175. Despite all the possible misfortunes of Team Spirit, zont1x continues to progress, and many analysts predict him unprecedented heights because of his amazing play.
#2 - donk
The second place rightfully goes to the sixteen-year-old rifler from Team Spirit - Danil "donk" Kryshkovets, whose average rating for 6 played maps was 7.1. It is impossible not to mention that donk became the second-best headshot player of the championship, killing his opponents with a headshot probability of 57.4%.
donk became the best player with the AK-47, his rating with this weapon was 0.460!
Also noteworthy is that during the championship, Danil made:

- 7 triple kills
- 22 double kills

#3 - frozen
Interestingly, frozen managed to win only 2 clutches 1-on-1 during the entire championship. But he made a lot of multikills during his matches:

- 12 triple kills
- 29 double kills
In fact, almost no top is complete without frozen, as he is one of the most stable players on planet Earth. And all this statistics, despite the fact that MOUZ made it to the playoffs, but their performance ended in the quarterfinals.

What would the top-5 be without the MVP of the championship? Correct - none at all. The fourth place in the list of the best players by rating at the Thunderpick World Championship 2023 is taken by the rifler from FaZe Clan, Robin "ropz" Kool, whose rating was 6.7 for 12 played maps.
ropz also became the best player with assault rifles among his teammates, namely his rating with the AK-47 was 0.318! Robin also distinguished himself with the number of multifrags at the championship:

- 11 triple kills per round
- 41 double kills per round
As for clutches, ropz won only one clutch, and that was 1-on-1. Overall, ropz had another incredible championship in his Counter-Strike 2 history.

The sniper from FaZe Clan, Helvijs "broky" Saukants, took fifth place in our rating of the best players of the championship by rating. broky's rating for 12 maps was 6.7! broky also became the third-best player with an AWP among all players of the championship, namely his rating with a sniper rifle was - 0.391.

On October 5, 2023, the North American organization FaZe Clan became the champion of the ThunderPick World Championship 2023 by defeating the team Virtus.pro in the final. For FaZe Clan, this is the second victory in a row in the era of Counter-Strike 2.
FaZe Clan defeated the team Virtus.pro with a score of 2:0 (Ancient 13:10, Vertigo 19:17) by maps. The champions earned $250,000, while Virtus.pro received $100,000 for second place.
