ZywOo became the highest paid player in Counter-Strike

French prodigy Mathieu ZywOo Herbaut recently signed a contract extension with Team Vitality that will run until the end of 2026. The deal reportedly makes ZywOo the highest paid Counter-Strike player in history. The French publication reported this in its post on X(Twitter).

Financial details of the contract were not officially disclosed, but the publication claims that the monthly salary exceeds €100,000. This means an annual income of at least €1.2 million, not counting additional bonuses for prize-winning places in tournaments and sticker sales.

ZywOo's agent reportedly requested this significant promotion following his stellar performance at the BLAST Paris Major. This impressive amount beats the previous record, which belonged to Oleksandr s1mple Kostyljev and Nikola NiKo Kovač, whose monthly income was estimated at approximately €40,000.

This move from Vitality shows their commitment to building a strong team around ZywOo, who is considered one of the most talented players in Counter-Strike2. The 23-year-old AWP player has played a key role in the team's recent success, including winning the prestigious BLAST Paris Major 2023 tournament.
