Team Vitality's CS2 sniper, Mathieu 'ZywOo' Herbaut, reflected on his form at the BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023. The French esports player shared his thoughts in an interview with HLTV.
ZywOo noted that his high level of play at the recent tournament was motivated by a desire to prove to fans that he is good in the new version of Valve's shooter. Herbaut also stated that this was just the beginning.
We had a lot of problems in the team after Sydney, we had a lot of things on our mind, so obviously we didn't play our best. After that, I didn't watch Twitter or anything, but I knew people would start to speak about my level in the new game, and I think I started to have a bit of ego to show them what I'm capable of.It was just the beginning and I just wanted to show them that even if we fail one tournament, it doesn't matter. If you think you can still do it, you can do it.
