KAY/O can be considered one of the agents that both beginners and experienced players can easily and quickly master. The main part of his skills has certain similarities with other shooters, such as CS2. And those that are unique are easily comprehensible and do not pose difficulties even for newcomers to the gaming community. Thus, if you like agents with useful but minimalist skills to adapt more quickly to the world of Valorant, KAY/O will be an excellent companion for this.

Blind, detect, and disable

As a defender, KAY/O should become a real "thorn" for enemies. His arsenal of abilities and the right style of play perfectly match this mission. Destroy enemy plans using ZERO/POINT (E), stop their aggression with FRAG/MENT (Q), and blind the bravest opponents.

FRAG/MENT (C) – An explosive fragment that attaches to the floor and creates a radius that damages those within its limits. Useful for countering enemy aggression or preventing opponents from defusing or planting the Spike.

Useful tips

  1. Emits a distinctive sound in flight, allowing enemies to react in advance.
  2. Activated only after landing on the surface.
  3. Use FRAG/MENT (C) to prevent enemies from reaching the position.
  4. Place FRAG/MENT (C) at Spike planting sites to interfere with their ability to defuse or plant it.
  5. Combine with other agents' abilities that increase damage or slow down enemies for enemy elimination.
  6. Deals damage not constantly, but at the moment of a small explosion, which is accompanied by a sound. The number of such explosions is 4.
  7. Has two different throwing methods: LMB and RMB.

FLASH/DRIVE (Q) – a flashbang that shares a lot in common with the stun grenade from another competitive shooter, CS2. It has two different throwing modes: LMB and RMB. Using RMB activates the ability faster than using LMB.

Useful tips

  1. Warn your team before using FLASH/DRIVE (Q).
  2. Ensure that the flashbang does not blind your teammates.
  3. Use the RMB throwing method to effectively blind enemies.
  4. Find and learn several flash plays; two examples can be found earlier in this article.
  5. FLASH/DRIVE (Q) emits a distinctive sound before detonating, heard by any player nearby.

ZERO/POINT (E) – a cyber knife that, upon contacting any surface, creates a radius around it. Enemies caught within this radius will have their abilities disabled and previously used abilities deactivated for a certain time, while KAY/O and his team will receive information on which particular enemies the knife has disabled.

Useful tips

Enemies can remove ZERO/POINT (E) before it activates.

  1. Not only disables agent abilities but also provides information on which particular enemy has been disabled, allowing for gathering data on the enemy's location.
  2. Detects enemies regardless of whether there is a wall between the knife and them.
  3. Try to throw it in places where it will be difficult or even impossible for the enemy to destroy it.
  4. This is the only ability of KAY/O that recharges over time after use.

NULL/CMD (X) – upon activation, creates a significant radius around KAY/O, disabling enemy abilities and preventing the use of other skills. This ultimate ability is useful in situations where you need to quickly capture an objective.

Useful tips

  1. Use NULL/CMD (X) before moving to a position to disable enemy abilities.
  2. If KAY/O dies during the ultimate ability, he will kneel and regain a significant amount of health. The team will have time to revive him.
  3. Use NULL/CMD (X) when you hear the activation of an enemy ultimate, such as Raze or Jett, to disable their abilities.
