Gen.G wins the title of VCT 2024: Pacific Kickoff champion and secured a slot for VCT 2024: Masters Madrid

Gen.G sensationally won the championship at VCT 2024: Pacific Kickoff by defeating last year's world championship runner-up, increasing their chances of participating in Valorant Champions 2024.

The winner of the grand final of the completed VCT 2024: Pacific Kickoff was clear to everyone before it started, and nothing suggested otherwise, but Gen.G surprised everyone with their performance and, it could be said, demolished Paper Rex in the final showdown.

The grand final, which was played in a best-of-five format, ended in triumph for Gen.G. The team beat the silver champions, and despite the significant contribution and effort of Ilya “something” Petrov, who received the MVP award, the world’s silver champions managed to take only one map.

The first and second places will each receive a slot at VCT 2024: Masters Madrid, but Gen.G will also earn an additional 3 Pacific Points for their victory, necessary for qualifying for Valorant Champions 2024.

The start of VCT 2024: Masters Madrid is scheduled for March 14. Eight teams, two from each region, will compete over ten days for the championship title and other prizes, details of which are currently unknown. Likely, this will include a significant prize pool and points for selection in this year's world championship.
