Yesterday's game day at the VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: EMEA Stage 1 ended in triumph for Turkish fans as two teams from Turkey emerged victorious in matches where they were considered underdogs.
On April 25th, there were matches between Fnatic and FUT Esports, as well as between BBL Esports and NAVI. These four teams are leaders in their groups, so the outcomes of these matches determined who would take the top spot in the Alpha and Omega groups.
For FUT Esports, the match went rather smoothly as they managed to defeat Fnatic, the main favorites of the Alpha group, with a score of 2:0. BBL Esports had a tough game, where the teams exchanged picks, but on the decisive map, Split, the Turkish team proved to be stronger. With these victories, both Turkish teams advance to the top positions in the Alpha and Omega groups and have every chance to go directly to the semifinals of the tournament.
The VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: EMEA Stage 1 will run from April 3 to May 12. During this period, the three best teams from the European region will be determined, earning slots at the VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: Masters Shanghai. The top team, besides securing a slot, will receive an additional 3 EMEA Points, necessary for qualifying for the world championship.
