But what made AGO approach roster changes so radically?

The last time the Polish team played was in mid-December 2022, when AGO qualified for the ESL Challenger Season 44. A decent result, however, previous results indicate problems within the team.

Before this qualification, AGO completely failed in four tier-2/tier-3 tournaments in a row, reaching the play-offs in only one. The Polish team was successful only in qualifications, but after that, the team had major problems.

What caused the changes?

Such roster restructuring is typical for the start of the season and affects most tier-2 teams. The open RMR qualifications will start in mid-February and teams need preparation to go through them.

The open qualifications are one of the main events of the year for all Tier 2 and Tier 3 teams, as it is the easiest way to break into the Tier 1 scene and also a good source of revenue for the club in case of success.

It seems that AGO is making a very big bet on the qualifications and assembling a team specifically for them.

How will this affect the Polish scene?

AGO was once a leading team on the Polish CS:GO pro scene, so if they got disbanded, the scene could have weakened significantly. However, AGO is simply reorganizing its roster, so it may actually turn out to be a reinforcement for the scene, as there is a huge pool of talented players in Poland.

When to expect news from AGO?

The European RMR qualifications start on February 13th and by that date AGO should announce their new roster.
