autimatic talked about switching to Valorant and a possible move to Europe

American professional Counter-Strike 2 player Timothy autimatic Ta discussed the possibility of changing disciplines. The esports athlete shared his opinion during a podcast on Duncan Thorin Shields' YouTube channel.

autimatic is uncertain about his future in CS2. The American pro player is seriously considering the possibility of switching to Valorant. When the moment comes, he is ready to make the right decision for himself.

Right now, I don't know which game I want to continue my career in. The deciding factor for me is the people. If there is a team in CS2 that I want to work with, then of course, I will choose that option. It just makes more sense. Obviously, I understand CS better than Valorant right now, and we could start competing for places right away.
If I switch to Valorant, it would take months to get better, and the team would have to believe in me to give me that time. Most clubs are not ready for this. In the VCT, reshuffles happen after each season, which lasts eight months. So, maybe it's a bit wrong to say that I don't know which discipline I will continue my career in, but when the moment comes to make a decision, I will do what I think is necessary.

To be honest, right now I don't really like playing CS2. It doesn't appeal to me, like, for example, m0NESY, who plays it every day <...>. I can't force myself to play CS2 every day. I think I could do it in CS:GO, but CS2 doesn't bring me pleasure because of the way it feels now. When CS:GO came out, I left the competitive scene for a year, and when the game got better - I returned. So yeah, I don't really like CS2, but playing a bad game in a good team is always fun. If I played CS2 and my team worked hard, came to practice with fire in their eyes and went towards their goal, then the negative aspects of CS2 would fade into the background.

autimatic also said he is ready to continue his career in the European region.

I think I'm open to offers from Europe. But I would like to join a project with an already established core. I don't want to move to Europe under unstable conditions. I wouldn't want to be part of building a team from scratch because there's a big risk that the lineup will be disbanded in six months due to lack of results. Then it would turn out that I changed my life for nothing. So I wouldn't want to move to an unstable situation. Stability in the team is important to me. At the same time, I am ready to start something new in North America, because this is my home.

Evil Geniuses was the last team autimatic played for. He left it in January 2024 after his contract ended. At the time of publication, the American esports athlete is a free agent. However, he does not plan to actively look for a new team in the next few months, preferring to take a short break in his career.
