BIG eliminate MIBR, to face G2 for the slot at BLAST Fall Finals

A convincing victory.

Closing match of the day.

In the second game BIG, who suffered a lopsided loss to Ninjas in Pyjamas in the opener, seeked to stay in contention against MIBR, who still had to use two substitutes due to their roster issues.

The Brazilian team’s pick of Mirage backfired nearly instantly, as BIG completely locked down the sites and ran towards a monstrous “14-1” half, closing the map with ease on their offence, “16-4”. Nuke, however, was a different story, as both teams went back and forth in the first half with MIBR taking a narrow lead into the half. Tying the score at “9-9”, however, was the last good thing which happened to the Brazilian team during that map, as the German-Danish mix took seven rounds in a row to close the map in their favour, “16-9” for the “2-0” series win.

MIBR will now go back to Brazil and prepare for the IEM Fall to guarantee themselves a berth at the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, while BIG are going to face G2 Esports on Wednesday, with the winner moving to the BLAST Premier Fall Finals and the loser - to the Fall Showdown.
