In an unexpected development, Complexity, North America's premier Counter-Strike team, is reportedly set to miss out on IEM Chengdu 2024. Sources close to the team have informed Dust2.us that visa complications are to blame for the team's inability to participate in the upcoming event, part of the Intel Grand Slam Season 5 series.

Complexity earned their invitation to the event through their high global ranking as of January 8th, when they were positioned fourth worldwide. Although they've experienced a slight dip in rankings since then, the absence of Complexity at IEM Chengdu represents a significant loss for fans hoping to see the top NA squad compete on Chinese soil.

As of now, M80 will be the only team representing North America in Chengdu, a situation that will undoubtedly leave many NA esports enthusiasts disheartened. Complexity's non-participation marks a setback for the region, particularly considering the team's impressive performance at the ongoing PGL Major Copenhagen 2024.
