Data miners found the source code for Inferno for Counter-Strike 2

Dataminers discovered in the files of the game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive the first versions of the map de_inferno_s2, dated March 2023, shortly after the game was announced.

In addition to visual differences, interesting details were found on short and under the balcony.

Although it is possible that these were just decorations and not radical changes to the map, these findings are still worth noting.

It's important to note that these changes might have been made for testing purposes and may not necessarily be reflected in the final version of the map.

Nevertheless, they give us an idea of how the de_inferno_s2 map could have evolved. Recall that the updated version of Inferno was added at the time of Counter-Strike 2's open access release, specifically on September 27, 2023.
