ENCE became the champions of IEM Dallas 2023 - it's their first major title since 2019

IEM Dallas 2023 has come to a close, and the winner of the final was the international roster of ENCE, defeating MOUZ with a score of 2:0.

The final bo3 match took place on Mirage and Nuke. ENCE won the first map (MOUZ's pick) with a score of 16:9, and they secured their own pick with a 16:10 victory.

The MVP of the match and the entire championship was the Spanish sniper, SunPayus. If up until today, frozen also had a chance to contend for the MVP title, now all doubts have been dispelled. With 45 kills, 11 entry frags, and a rating of 7.5, it's an outstanding performance by the Spaniard.

The first-place finish at the tournament allowed ENCE to receive a direct invitation to a more prestigious championship in terms of prize pool, namely IEM Cologne 2023, which will take place at the end of July. Additionally, the team also won $100,000.

Interesting facts about the winners

This victory was particularly significant for the 32-year-old captain, Snappi, whose professional career started back in 2008. Since 2019, neither he nor the team, in its various iterations, had won any major LAN tournaments. The Danish player has reached the finals of several prestigious tournaments multiple times, including last year's IEM Dallas, EPL Season 15, and cs_summit 3. Fortunately for him, this unpleasant trend has come to an end, and the captain, along with his teammates, will conclude their CS:GO era on a positive note.

Spanish players in CS:GO are rare guests on the big stage, and the last time esports athletes from Spain won a major tournament was in 2016 when Mixwell became the champion of ELEAGUE Season 2 as part of OpTic.

As for the ENCE organization, they also lacked significant successes for a considerable period of time. The previous major title was won by the lineup featuring Aleksib and sergej at BLAST Pro Series Madrid 2019.
