Flamengo Fired Coach After Argument with a Fan

Brazilian coach Pedro "SKY" Lahass lost his position at Flamengo following an online conflict with one of the fans. In the incident that occurred on platform X, the coach responded to a fan's criticism of the team's tactical decisions, leading to his dismissal.

In their official statement, Flamengo emphasized that such behavior of the coach does not align with the club's corporate values, which aim for mutual respect and value their fan community as a key asset.

According to Dust2 Brasil, the dispute arose over the choice of the Mirage map in a match where Flamengo defeated team Yawara with a score of 13-3 in the open qualifiers for the BLAST Spring Showdown. However, a subsequent defeat by RED Canids prevented Flamengo from advancing to the next stage of the qualifiers. Responding to criticism, SKY stated that fans' opinions are irrelevant to him and the team, which is engaged in intensive work, calling for greater respect.

This incident led Flamengo to decide to terminate the contract with the coach, who had previously worked with teams MetaODDIK, and UNO MILLE. Currently, the Brazilian club has not announced the search for a new coach.
