The organization IKLA has temporarily suspended its activities due to unreliable investments

The esports organization IKLA has announced a temporary suspension of its activities until 2025. According to CEO Maksym Bednarsky, the decision was made after consultations with the board of investors due to the insecurity of investments and risks associated with cheating in online qualifying competitions.

All team players will be benched and put up for transfer from February 1, 2024. The team's last official matches will be at the Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu 2024: European Open Qualifier #2. Maksym Bednarsky thanked everyone who supported the organization, including employees, players, and even critics.

We’ve decided to temporarily cease operations of IKLA due to insecurity of investments. We cannot invest hundreds of thousands (millions if needed) of dollars in team when it’s just luck decides if you will play vs cheaters on online qualifiers or not. Teams are not secured in any way. We will take pause until 2025 to reconsider possible return to CS as a team if we will see positive changes. What does it mean for the players now? All our players will be benched and put on transfer list starting 01.02.2024. I want to thank everyone who has supported us during this time. Also I want to thank all staff members and players for their dedication and commitment during the process. Special thanks to haters - you always give more energy to move forward)
Maksym Bednarsky

The key event that influenced the decision was the team's defeat against PERA at the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: European Qualifier B, where PERA was accused of cheating. During the four years of IKLA's operation, previously known as EC Kyiv, its biggest success was winning the Forward Cup with a prize of $25,000. The club's total earnings from prizes amounted to $96,913.
