The North American organization NRG was among the contenders for Evil Geniuses' slot in the BLAST Premier series for CS2. This information was shared by the Dust2.us portal.

However, NRG was unsuccessful. The new owner of the slot became Cloud9. According to rumors, the club paid $900,000 for it. As a result, C9 became the full partner of the series.

NRG retains chances to become a partner of BLAST. The tournament operator plans to add four additional slots, which will be distributed based on negotiations between organizations. The new holders of the spots will have a special status but will not be able to claim guaranteed income.

At the end of November, NRG returned to the professional Counter-Strike scene. The club formed a roster of North American players, including Damien daps Steel, Joshua oSee Om, Vincent Brehze Cayonte, Jadan HexT Postma, and Justin FaNg Cockli.

The next championship of the series will be BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2024. The tournament will take place from January 22 to 28.
