Young Ninjas advance to the WePlay AL S2 LAN final

First team to advance to the LAN finals.

Two of the favourites to win the entire WePlay Academy League Season 2, Young Ninjas and NAVI Junior clashed for a chance to guarantee themselves a berth at the LAN final, which is going to be held in Kyiv later this fall.

Starting on Mirage, the CIS team looked in control from the start but could only obtain a narrow one round lead before the switch to their defence. That was when the young Swedes got unleashed, as Young Ninjas ran rampant on their offence, winning nine rounds in the half to take the first map, “16-13”. Going to Inferno, things looked grim for NAVI Junior, as they trailed “2-7”, but the CIS team managed to reduce the deficit to one before halftime. That effort proved to be enough, as NAVI Junior equalized the score in the second half, forcing a decider with another “16-13”. Vertigo, however, did not end up competitive at all, as NAVI Junior could not win consecutive rounds on their defence, while Young Ninjas amassed eleven points on the offence before closing it out, “16-5” for a “2-1 series win.

Young Ninjas are now through to the LAN finals for the second time in a row, while NAVI Junior will face BIG Academy, who they have already won against few days ago.
