It's official: Xizt will leave Team Heroic after BLAST Premier: World Final 2023

Today, the Danish organization Heroic announced that their coach, Richard "Xizt" Landström, will leave the organization after the BLAST Premier: World Final 2023. This news came from official sources of the Heroic organization.

Xizt joined Heroic at the end of 2021 as an analyst but was later transferred to the position of the Counter-Strike team's coach. Heroic became the second team he coached in his career, following Nigma Galaxy.

Interestingly, earlier this year, the Swede extended his contract with the organization until 2025. Something inside the team is clearly not right.

During his time, Xizt led the team in 36 championships, earning $1,781,000 in prize money. His most significant achievements with the team include:

Here's what Xizt said after the end of his collaboration with the organization:

Thank you Heroic!
Based on a mutual agreement I will be leaving Heroic after BLAST World Finals. This was not an easy decision, but together with Heroic, we have come to the conclusion that it’s in everyone's best interest to go our separate ways. I will be looking for new opportunities moving forward. I look back at my time in Heroic with a lot of joy and pride. We built something amazing, from being booed in every stadium to being celebrated and applauded towards the end. Our playstyle was unique, dynamic and entertaining. It was the main reason I wanted to join, and I feel like I contributed a lot to one of the most successful teams in this era of CS.Thank you to everyone working in Heroic, and of course the players, you became like a family. It was not easy for me transitioning from being an active player into a Head Coach for one of the best teams in the World. So a big thank you to all the performance staff helping me along the way. Last but not least I would also like to thank all the Heroic fans for supporting us through thick and thin. What a ride it has been.
I am excited about what the future holds. For now, thank you Heroic, see you soon.

After this announcement, only 3 players officially remain in the Heroic team. However, the team is set to play at the BLAST Premier: World Final 2023 tomorrow. Fortunately, the team has already found stand-ins:

Remember, the first opponent for the Heroic team at the BLAST Premier World Final 2023 will be FaZe Clan, who have also made some reshuffles in their lineup.
