Rumor: CS:GO Source 2 update will be released in 5 days
The developers' activity hints at the update's release in five days.
CS:GO update on Source 2 can be released in five days.
Valve gave two hints at once that the Source 2 update for CS:GO will be released in five days. Earlier, there was information about the new Counter Strike and CS2 trademarks registered by Valve. No additional information has been added to it.

At night, the developers changed the official CS:GO Twitter account cap. It now features five CS logos associated with the new brand. This may hint at the number of days until the update's release. Earlier, the cap contained an image of one logo.
At the moment, this looks like a rather weak argument in favor of the release date of the update, but it will become valid if the account header changes again today and the number of logos decreases.
Adding test builds for macOS and Linux
In addition to updating the caps on Twitter, there was another update during the night. Steamdb.info recorded activity in the CS:GO client. Test builds for macOS, and Linux was added to the test branch linked to Source 2.
Any similar update should be compared with the transfer of Dota 2 to Source 2 because it happened exactly the same way. MacOS and Linux build files were also added to the Dota 2 client. In the case of Dota, the release of the Source 2 version took place five days after such an update. It goes well with the Twitter cap we talked about above.
When will the Source 2 update be released?
At the moment, the most likely update release window is next week. This is evidenced by a huge number of facts, and the developers are clearly working on the update as actively as possible. We are waiting for Source 2 in the near future.
