After yesterday's game, Natus Vincere's sniper, Alexander "s1mple" Kostylev, surpassed the historic milestone of 2000 kills throughout the history of ESL Cologne.

In total, s1mple competed in Cologne 7 times:

  • ESL One: Cologne 2016 (2nd place for Team Liquid)
  • ESL One: Cologne 2017 (3-4th place for Natus Vincere)
  • ESL One: Cologne 2018 (1st place for Natus Vincere)
  • ESL One: Cologne 2019 (3-4th place for Natus Vincere)
  • ESL One: Cologne 2020 Online - Europe (9-12th place for Natus Vincere)
  • Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Cologne (1st place for Natus Vincere)
  • Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Cologne (2nd place for Natus Vincere)

2000 kills is a big number, and interestingly, Alexander did not attend all championships unlike FaZe Clan players Håvard "rain" Nygaard and Finn "karrigan" Andersen, who visited all tournaments in Cologne during their career.

In total, 9 tournaments have been held in Cologne. Currently, all the mentioned players are playing at the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2023 in the group stage.

The teams landed in Group B and today FaZe Clan will begin their performance with a match against Ninjas in Pyjamas, while NAVI have already flown from MOUZ and fallen into the last chance bracket.
