Twistzz assesses Liquid's prospects at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024

Russell "Twistzz" Van Dulken, a player of Team Liquid, shared his thoughts on the team's prospects at the upcoming PGL Major Copenhagen 2024. He expressed hope that the team would be ready for the second major of the year and did not rule out the possibility of becoming an underdog at the first major. For Twistzz, winning throughout the year is important, regardless of the specific tournament.

According to him, the key to Team Liquid's success at the major depends on how quickly they can come together as a team. Currently, Liquid is showing successful results at BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2024, having reached the grand final of Group B after victories over Spirit and GamerLegion. However, the team still has communication issues, which they try to compensate with the high individual form of the players.

Of course, I'd want to win events within this year, however many that is. I'd like to be really, really ready for the second Major. Of course, Cinderella runs can always happen, if we start working and getting everything through, maybe we can be a good underdog for the first Major, but definitely, we want to win in the first or second half of the year. It doesn't matter to me, I know things take time.

An interesting fact is that Twistzz is the only player in the current Liquid lineup who has won a major – at PGL Major Antwerp 2022 with FaZe. Also, the team's coach Wilton "zews" Prado has victories at MLG Major Championship: Columbus 2016 with Luminosity and ESL One: Cologne 2016 with SK to his credit.
