WePlay Academy League Season 3 Finals to be held online

WePlay announced that WePlay Academy League Season 3 Finals had been moved online.

According to the TO, the LAN tournament was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which was aggravated by the Omicron variant and the geopolitical situation in Ukraine. WePlay reported that they were not ready to put the safety of employees and players at risk, and TO wouldn’t host the tournament on LAN in Kyiv.

Four teams have qualified for the event. Among those teams are MOUZ NXT, BIG Academy, Spirit Academy, and Astralis Talent. MOUZ NXT are going to defend their title once more as they have won two previous Academy Leagues.

The playoff starts on February 11th with the BIG Academy vs Spirit Academy clash.
