fnatic Rising eliminate VP Prodigy at WePlay AL S2

fnatic Rising and VP Prodigy faced each other for the third time during the second season of WePlay Academy League, this time for the chance to stay in the running for the spot at the LAN final in Kyiv.

Starting on Vertigo, the CIS team looked to win the map for the third straight time, as they led “10-5” at the break, but the European mix managed to force an overtime and secure the win, “19-15”. Nuke, which was picked second, looked competitive as well in the first half, as VP Prodigy led by one, but once fnatic Rising got to their preferred defence, the CIS team’s offence could not do enough, as it was over at “16-12” with fnatic Rising winning the set, “2-0”.

With VP Prodigy out of contention, fnatic Rising will face a loser in the NAVI Junior-BIG Academy match later this week for the fourth spot in the playoffs.
