Woro2k Summarizes 2023 for Monte

Vladimir "Woro2k" Veletniuk, captain of the Monte team, shared his impressions of the incredible year of 2023, which became a turning point for the team. Under his leadership, Monte achieved significant success, transforming from a tier-3 online tournament participant into a stable top-10 world team.

Woro2k expressed his satisfaction with the current state of the team and positively assessed their chances in future competitions. According to him, the team intends to train intensively and is already preparing for the next major events - IEM Katowice 2024 with a prize pool of $1,000,000, where they received a direct invitation from ESL, as well as for the RMR tournament PGL Major Copenhagen 2024.

This year was insanely good for us and our org also. We did a lot together and I'm very happy with what has been happening right now. We're Top 10 in the world and we're not falling back. We're still in the Top 10, and we're playing well in tournaments. Well, some tournaments were not good, while other tournaments were good, but overall, everyone is happy. I think, after the new year, we will start practicing good, we will have time, and we will be ready for Katowice, the Major—those first two events.

The most significant achievements in 2023 include making it to the playoffs of BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, the semifinals of ESL Pro League Season 18, the finals of Roobet Cup 2023, and winning ESL Challenger Jonköping 2023. In 2023, the team earned an impressive $433,500 in prize money.

A key change compared to 2022 was the arrival of Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev and coach Sergey "lmbt" Bezhanov, who brought their tier-1 level experience to Monte. This significantly increased the team's efficiency and performance.
