Woro2k went bombarding as IKLA took spot for Team Ukraine in the IESF World Esports Championship 2023

Sniper of the Monte team, Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletniuk, expressed his strong dissatisfaction with the lineup of the Ukrainian national team at the IESF World Esports Championship 2023 in his Telegram channel!

How did it all start?

It all started when the tournament organizers simply invited the Ukrainian organization IKLA to their closed qualification from Eastern Europe. However, according to Woro2k, there are much stronger players in Ukraine than the players from IKLA.

Now I understand why Ukrainian Counter-Strike is not developing as quickly. Honestly, there are many players in Ukraine who could be part of the national team, but IKLA is definitely not one of them. Therefore, buying and selling a slot is absolute madness to me, there's no other way to describe it.

IKLA is a completely Ukrainian team, isn't it?

Since it is a world championship among different countries, it means that not all players in the national team have to be from the same organization. For example, just like the team from the Netherlands, which includes players from KRC Genk EsportsInto the Breach, and Fnatic.

Even if only a Ukrainian team is needed, IKLA is nowhere near B8. I don't care about this tournament anymore, but the fact that we either have idiots or corruption in the esports community really angers me.

I forgot to mention the Kazakh player in B8, but you get the point. This is f***ing nonsense from UESF or whoever is responsible for this. How is it possible that a mediocre team, you know who I'm talking about, can have all their players representing the national team throughout the year?

Let's not forget that the B8 roster managed to qualify for the RMR tournament for the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, which unfortunately they failed at. After that, they made a substitution and brought in a player from Kazakhstan.

In the end, Volodymyr simply wished good luck to his fellow countrymen and assured them that they should now give it their all, 200%:

Alright, I'm pretty pissed off about this. It's at least unfair to many Ukrainian players. I'm just really curious why it turned out this way, but we can't change anything now. I hope in the future things will be different and more fair. So, in any case, good luck to IKLA, now they have to fight in this tournament with everything they've got, 200%.

Who is IKLA?

IKLA is a Ukrainian professional organization based in the capital city of Ukraine, Kyiv.

Due to constant roster changes, the team's performance in tournaments is clearly not at its best. In 2023, the team was able to win only one tournament called the Forward Cup.

And even that victory was back in January. After that, it's been one defeat after another, and in April, the team placed 3-4th in the ESEA Cash Cup: Europe - Spring 2023 #3. And that's about it.

The current lineup of IKLA looks as follows:

The Ukrainian national team has already entered Group A in the qualifiers, alongside teams from Israel, Estonia, and Armenia. A total of 16 national teams are participating in the qualifiers, but only the top four teams will advance and participate in the WEC23 World Championship, which will take place in Romania from August 25th to September 3rd. The tournament's total prize pool will be $100,000.
