Leniniw may leave Maincast after the studio lost their rights on russian cast
Konstantin Leniniw Sivko, who worked on Russian-language broadcasts for Maincast, discussed his career prospects, considering the possibility of becoming a community caster.
In his Telegram channel, Leniniw supported Maincast's decision to relinquish the rights to cover ESL events in Russian, noting that they cannot be monetized, especially during the war with Russia. It logically follows that it is better to work for his Ukrainian audience and invest resources specifically in it, rather than continuing to convey anti-war messages to Russian-speaking viewers from an aggressor country.
I haven't talked to Maincast about this issue and I was a little surprised to hear the news. But only a little, because in general, this decision is reasonable.
- Since I have already started practicing Ukrainian, there is a possibility that I could work on it. But the question is whether Maincast needs this.
- The second option is to move to community streaming and cover everything within reach.

Konstantin may indeed face difficulties if he wants to stay in Maincast, as there will now be a lot of competition for the slot of commentator from the Ukrainian studio, and preference will likely be given to those who have commented in Ukrainian and simply know it better. Belarusian Leniniw started learning Ukrainian not so long ago, and perhaps in the future, he will be transferred to the analyst studio, where the workload will be less, and he will be given the opportunity to improve his language skills. Alternatively, Maincast may have completely different plans for him.
