SINNERS won the first Dust2 in the official CS2

In a landmark event for Counter-Strike, SINNERS emerged victorious over Zero Tenacity in the first official match on the newly reintroduced Dust 2 map. This exciting clash occurred just two days after Dust 2 replaced Overpass in the active map pool, marking a significant shift in competitive play.

The match was part of the RES Regional Series 3 Europe, a tournament with a $100,000 prize pool, running from April 26th to May 3rd, 2024. Zero Tenacity, having chosen Dust 2, started on the defensive side and initially dominated, closing the first half with an 8:4 lead.

However, the second half mirrored the first, with SINNERS rallying to match their opponents' score and pushing the game into overtime. After a fiercely contested battle, SINNERS clinched the win with a 19:17 score in the second overtime, demonstrating resilience and strategic depth over a total of 36 rounds.
