Next Major to be hosted by PGL in Antwerp, Belgium

The information about the next Major tournament had been leaked in 2021, and today the leaks were confirmed by the tournament organizer.

PGL have officially announced the hosting of PGL Major Antwerp 2022. The event will take place in Belgium, and its prize pool is $1,000,000. It is the second time in a row PGL host a Major tournament. The prize pool has lowered as the professional scene has stabilized, and the teams will get two Major events this year.

In October/November 2021, PGL Major Stockholm 2021 took place, and it became the most successful event in CS:GO esports history. Valve decided to give PGL another tournament to organize with the hope of repeating the success.

According to PGL, Belgium is the best location possible as it is situated in the heart of Europe and accessible for every team in the world to enter. PGL Major Antwerp 2022 will be hosted in Sportaleis, which is 30 minutes away from Brussels airport.

PGL Major Antwerp 2022 will take place between May 9-22th. The main event is scheduled to begin on May 19th. The tickets will be available soon.
