A few days before the start of IEM Chengdu 2024, Wildcard faced a serious problem. The coach was forced to withdraw from the tournament due to food poisoning.
This sudden event puts Wildcard in a precarious position. The coach plays a vital role in Counter-Strike2, as coaches develop strategies, analyze opponents, and motivate players during matches.

Fortunately, Wildcard managed to find a replacement coach in the person of experienced Brazilian tactician Horvy. However, given the limited time to prepare and develop strategy, it is unclear how effectively horvy will be able to integrate with the team.
